Llançá, also known as Llansa, is a coastal village built to be hidden from the sea to foil marauding Barbary pirates. Each summer it welcomes cosmopolitan tourists who enjoy the wining, dining, beaches and walks within the next door Natural Park of Cap de Creus and to nearby small and quiet coves.
It’s been a top ranked family vacation resort since the Sixties and its bustling streets offer choices of bars, restaurants and specialist shops. The popular port beach has been awarded the blue flag; it is flanked by the traditional whitewashed houses of the village and on one side, while on the other there are shops, restaurants and the promenade. The promenade is spacious with some palm trees, very pleasant for strolling.
The resort is easily reached via Girona Airport and then local train or bus takes around 1.5 hours. Airport taxis 1 hour with a cost of €65. The French border is just 15 km away and easily reached for a day trip.
