Sucina, a well connected place to be…

The town is ancient, but its palm lined streets of white painted houses have a good choice of tapas bars, restaurants, banks and medical facilities.

The nearby Mediterranean Motorway links Spain’s main coastal resorts from Barcelona to Gibraltar. Sucina is a well connected place for fulltime living or holiday residential, being 15 minutes from San Javier Airport (one of the best airports because of it’s compact size), which is a bonus with small children – clear customs and in the car within 30 minutes of landing!

Real Spain Sucina is a quiet little hideaway away from the main tourist spots, a quick drive down the motorway from either San Javier Airport or Alicante International, and once you are there you find an small urbanisation and the village centre and on the other side of the village are the 2 first-class golf resorts, Polaris World and Peraleja Golf.

The village has a variety of shops and restaurants. There is Em’s Bistro (an English owned eatery with breakfasts, sandwiches, etc, and specials on different evenings in the week, steak night, quiz night, fish and chip night); Arco’s (a Spanish bar which does the best coffee, is a popular place in the morning); there is an Italian restaurant, two Indian Restaurants, a more modern formal restaurant further up the village, a couple more bars, a Chinese shop and three supermarkets, a tabac, chemist, optician and petrol station. There is a market on Mondays.

The beaches are a 15 minute drive away and in low season finding somewhere to park right by the beach is not a problem. Lo Pagan and Los Alcazares are beach resorts on the Mar Menor which is great shallow watery playground for children and parents.
